Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women,

BLSYW is a college preparatory school with an emphasis on leadership and academic excellence and enrichment in a single sex environment. Our program demonstrates a strong commitment to math, science and technology – fields where women are underrepresented and where Maryland needs to cultivate a strong knowledge base and workforce – as well as to the arts and humanities which teach students to appreciate and engage critically the world that they will lead.

BLOOM Wellness Lab and Dr. Stephanie Akoumany have partnered with imPACT to host the Girls imPACT Webseries. Find more information and register for these web events under the Girls imPACT tab.

Project Pneuma,

Here at Project Pneuma our mission is to Breathe New Life holistically into the young men we serve by challenging them intellectually, strengthening them physically, nurturing them emotionally and uplifting them spiritually. We strive to teach our young men the art of forgiveness, self-control and discipline while giving them exposure to a new world of endless possibilities.

Invest York Road

Invest York Road is a bold initiative enabling community members to make small investments into a community-controlled fund that will be used to buy and redevelop commercial property along Baltimore’s York Road Corridor. Through their small investments, residents will be able to build wealth, and by maintaining ownership of the properties, the community will be able to nurture a vibrant commercial corridor with thriving businesses aligned with residents’ interests and needs.

City of Greenbelt Reparations Commission

In March 2022, City Council members in Greenbelt, Maryland, empaneled the Greenbelt Reparations Commission as a result of a referendum passed by voters for a commission to review, discuss, and make recommendations related to local reparations for African American and Native American residents of Greenbelt.  In order to meet its charge, the Commission has been researching actions that led to inequities over time among Greenbelt’s African American and Native American population and will suggest ways for the City to rectify these inequities.

One of their partners in that work has been the team of imPACT Educational Consulting’s Cristina Easton and Arcadia Strategy Group’s Peter Metsopoulos. Peter + Cristina facilitated a Theory of Change process to align the Commission’s operations with its charge, and co-created governance, reporting, and meeting structures with the Commission to both center the Commission’s content expertise and to ensure accountability within the Commission’s committees.

Arcadia Strategy Group

Founding consultant Peter Metsopoulos focuses on envisioning how the organizational and strategic pieces of programs fit together so that the world can be a better, more equitable, and more understandable place. As a first generation college graduate raised by his single mother, he believes in equity, education, and empathy as the solutions to pretty much every problem.

Over the course of a career that has spanned broadcast design and special effects production, independent film and global distribution, classroom teaching, and nonprofit program development, Peter combines EQ with tactical focus to get the job done.

He has also served as the co-founder of a charter middle school in Baltimore City, a presenter at national and local conferences, and a board member for youth-focused social enterprises and executive director of the Center for Theory of Change. He is a collaborative leader dedicated to enrolling people in the movement toward meaningful change.
